When we were planning our wedding this year, we quickly realized that no wedding planning tools were built with us in mind. Every platform we tried offered the same generic structure: ring ceremony, reception, done. But for LDS couples, that misses the entire point. The sealing — the moment we made eternal covenants in the temple — is what matters most. On top of that, many LDS couples celebrate with multiple receptions across different cities and states, which existing tools couldn’t handle. We needed something different, and it didn’t exist.

We realized we weren’t alone in this gap. Marriage is central to our faith and culture, yet the tools available treated it like any other wedding. We decided to build something that put the temple sealing first — because it deserves to be. Covenant was born from our own planning struggles, designed specifically for couples like us who want every event, from the sealing to the reception, organized exactly how it should be.

We’re Mekeli and Heiana, and we’re the founders of Covenant. Mekeli brings a background in information systems and technology; together, we’ve poured that expertise into building something we wish we’d had during our own wedding planning. We believe every LDS couple deserves tools built for their wedding — not a one-size-fits-all platform. That’s what Covenant is.
